Spicy Tomato Bouillon Recipe.
- Tomato juice; 48 oz can or 1.36L
- Bay leaf; 1
- Whole cloves; 6
- Beef bouillon; 4 cubes
- Salt; 3/4 tsp or 3ml
- Sugar; 2 tbsp or 30ml
- Chili sauce; 1 cup or 250ml
- Hot water; 4 cups or 1L
- Celery salt; 1/8 tsp or 0.5ml
- Garlic salt; 1/8 tsp or 0.5ml
- Dried leaf basil; 1/2 tsp or 2ml
- Tabasco; 1/8 tsp or 0.5ml
- Lemon juice; 1/4 cup or 60ml
Combine all ingredients except Tabasco and lemon juice in saucepan.
Bring to a boil, turn down heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Strain.
Return to saucepan, add Tabasco and lemon juice and heat just to boiling point.
Serve in soup cups or mags.
Serves up to 12 persons.
